Fire Prevention is our Intention

During the first four days of 2011 five people lost their lives in house fires in Scotland. Tragically the total number of deaths in fires in 2009/10 was 59 and the total number of fires during that year was 38,658. Alarming statistics indeed. Statistics that prove that still not enough is being done to prevent fires and preserve lives.

Fire destroys everything in its path and the causes of fires in the workplace range from faulty wiring to arson. extinguishers should always be on the premises and staff must know how to use them. Any organisation may be affected at any time. A fire warning system must be in place and staff must be told how to respond to it.

John Noble, Director of Safe and Sound Fire Ltd. in Kirkintilloch, Scotland, told us "Fire alarm maintenance is one of the most important areas when looking after your home or business. If your fire alarm fails in the event of an outbreak of fire you could be putting your life and the lives of others at risk". John and his staff are committed to fire prevention in Scotland. They carry out fire risk assessments, provide fire extinguishers, carry out fire risk assessments, provide fire safety signs, CCTV etc. etc.  They are qualified fire protection engineers and consultants and have undoubtedly helped to save many lives over the years. If you have any doubts about fire protection either in your home or at work contact John on 0141 776 7763 or visit www.safeandsoundfireltd.com.
